Umbrella: The Normal Position

It is especially practical against a mugger with a knife.

Let me explain. So many youngsters carry knives. Dreadful things. Cold, impartial and deadly. Many are carried for personal protection. This makes sense, but again it makes no sense.

To actually use a knife, you must be prepared to move in to close quarter combat, hand to hand stuff: all very well (I suppose) if you are of that nature. But if you are not ‘pit-bull aggressive’ you have a very good chance of being stabbed – even if only in the thigh (Femoral artery – Death!!!).

You would not expect to see a youngster carrying a walking stick. A mark of Old Age! But used correctly the walking stick can be very effective against a knife attack. As you’ve read above.

But listen! Everyone, but everyone, can justifiably carry an umbrella. The weapon of choice (well, almost so) to counter a knife attack: a machine gun / tank combination is somewhat better.

A youngster – and indeed You and I – can perfectly happily and legally carry a most effective Spear, the Umbrella, and within perhaps half an hour be competent in using it to defend against and suppress a mugger attacking with a bladed knife.

Two techniques – the Billiard Thrust and the Bayonet Drive. Absolutely devastating. And very difficult to counter. But of course absolutely lethal!

The Umbrella gives even a youngster – and You! - a good chance of survival in such a dangerous and difficult a situation.

There are two types of umbrella

  • The ordinary, and the Unbreakable

The ordinary version is light(ish), not very strong, but most effective as a spear to impale the face or throat. Excellent against a knife. But in reality it is a Toy!
2
But if you really carry the umbrella as a (legal) personal weapon, then what you need is the Unbreakable Umbrella.

Immensely strong and reliable, it can deliver tree-feeling (almost) smashes able to break a head or an arm.

If you are a teenager worried about being attacked by a knife, then the Unbreakable Umbrella is for you.

Or if you are the parent of such an at risk youngster …

This Spear – for that is what it can become – is a major defence against a knife, and furthermore is perfectly legal to carry. Giving you a better than average chance of survival.

  • I would urgently recommend youngsters faced with this kind of situation to attend professional classes to develop an effective – and Safe! – technique to cope with the deadly and rampant knife threat.

My textbook “Amagasa-jutsu” covers the issue in some detail:

I suggest you look at this demonstration of the power of the Unbreakable Umbrella: http://www.unbreakableumbrella.com/

You cannot really use the Umbrella to raise hell and destroy people and property. Of itself it is not a weapon.

But of course – Remember that a Spear can Kill a Mugger!
